1970's Fashion, brought to you by JC Penney

Here's what happens when you match sharp witty writing and sense of humor with classic 70's fashion: I bring you the 15-Minute Lunch.

In this post, the author discovers a 1977 JC Penney catalog in an attic. He painstakingly scanned and commented on the styles of the time, which is where he brings the funny.

This truly is a great way to spend your lunch break.

Nintendo Wii Contributes to Healthy Marriages

As MediaPost reports, the Nintendo Wii has been recently hovering in the top spots of Amazon's wedding gift registry. Their observation that "Nintendo is no longer seen as an obstacle to a healthy marriage, but as a contributing factor," is very consistent with happenings in my own relationship.

My wife and I find that by participating in Nintendo Wii 2-player bowling or tennis, it brings us closer the way actual sports and activities tend to do. There's usually a hand-slapping "good job" to commend a nicely bowled strike. Or, a thorough taunting when my tennis serve is an ace (well, in all honesty, the taunting isn't always welcome).

As part of Mashable's Toolbox series of resource lists, the latest edition of Blog Directories is particularly interesting. While many of this list of 30 links may not be well known, it's important to keep in mind that this method of searching blogs is still a fairly young category.

Is VLAZE destined to be this generation's MTV?

"I WANT MY MTV! ...uh, I mean VLAZE!"

Ok, so the name VLAZE doesn't have the same ring to it as MTV does. But the former website Music Plus Television has re-branded itself to not only cater to visitors with a hankering for music videos, but all things fascinating (read: user generated content) on the web.

Just like Justin

Now anybody can post their lives on Justin.tv. They've opened their network so you and I can now use their platform to broadcast live video. What's pretty cool is that visitors can post comments and the host can make live video responses.

Certainly an interesting way to reignite interest in a dwindling fad that exhausted it's 5 seconds of fame long ago.

Get Your Daily Lunch

Admit it. You catch a whiff of your office mate's lunch and you may ask or glance at what cuisine is causing such a mouth-watering aroma.

Wait no more! Just go over to LUNCH. They go on to explain:

"We believe leaving the office everyday for lunch is an invaluable ritual. In a time and city where people are constantly rushing around, trying to accomplish three tasks at once, taking a moment to have a civilized meal becomes even more vital. Eating at your desk while reading emails, surfing the world wide web, snarfing down a bland turkey sandwich from the deli down the street is NOT lunch."

High Time We Had A Website -- simply brilliant

Please, please... for the love of God, view the movie within Our Ideas > On The Board

"We want our website to be a little window into the creative world of Nonsense. We figure a fun and interesting way of doing this would be to make and update our website by hand, using our office pin-board."

Brilliant!

Zude -- a personal lounge on the web?

Talk about a mash-up... Zude is pulling together the best of MySpace, Facebook and WYSIWYG editors. It just went into public beta, and is worth a peak.
